[Grayslake, Ill] Hometown America representatives announced today the addition of Saddlebrook Farms to their portfolio of more than 40 properties. This latest acquisition is located in Grayslake, just an hour from Chicago, home of the company’s corporate office.

Saddlebrook Farms is a lakeside, age-restricted community that offers residents customized single-family ranch homes. At 700 acres, the expansive property features nature preserves, wooden areas and over 100 acres of fish-stocked lakes. The property boasts a lakeside lodge where residents engage in social clubs and activities, including barbecues and picnics, bocce ball, cards and quilting.

“We are excited to build upon the great groundwork that the Saddlebrook Farms developer created. This is one of the nicest manufactured home communities in the country, with great amenities and beautiful natural surroundings,” said Doug Minahan, Vice President of Hometown America.

As the leader in premier manufactured home communities, Hometown America provides residents with a higher standard of living. Hometown intends to keep the old-world essence of Saddlebrook Farms while adding a fresh look and new amenities. They are rebranding the property and looking to add a state-of-the-art fitness facility based on the needs and wants of this active-living community. In addition, Saddlebrook Farms will have an on-site model home village, allowing buyers to tour the latest homes and floor plans.

“I’m proud of the entire team’s performance in the acquisition of this beautiful community. I consider it the jewel of the Midwest,” said Stephen Braun, Co-President of Hometown America. It fits very well within Hometown’s investment strategy and is another great example of the kind of affordable, high-quality communities we invest in.”
