[Chicago, IL] – Representatives from Hometown America are pleased to announce the kickoff of the Hometown America Foundation’s 2013-2014 efforts. The foundation’s goal is to give back in the communities where its residents and employees live and work. This program underscores the company’s commitment to community and home life.

The Hometown America Foundation has consistently supported organizations assisting homeless youth and at-risk children, disaster relief, elderly assistance programs and housing for women and children affected by domestic violence. Between 2009 and 2013, the Foundation gave more than $200,000 to organizations including Teen Living Program (Chicago, Ill), Sunshine Acres Children’s Home (Mesa, Ariz), Seniors in Service of Tampa Bay (Tampa Bay, Fla) and Family Means (Stillwater, Minn). Many of the fund recipients were chosen because they provide physical residency for homeless, at-risk youth and because they deliver comprehensive, long-term solutions to reduce the number of youths who might otherwise become homeless adults.

“We are so pleased to be able to continue this great program,” said Doug Minahan, Vice President of Hometown America. “I am so proud of our employees and residents for giving in such a meaningful way. This is a true testament to the quality people found living and working in our communities.”
