As we continue moving into 2020, we’re happy to announce even more activities coming to The Highlands! Hometown America appreciates everything our residents do, including taking the initiative to start up new, fun activities that everyone can enjoy. The Horseshoe League was the first of our new events, having kicked off in January. Everyone is encouraged to participate in this handicap league, perfect for every skill level.

We’d also like to thank everyone who came out to our Resident Appreciation Days this past February. We had our fan favorite events like the Pizza Night, Town Hall Coffee and Donuts, and Scott’s famous BBQ and Pool Party. The second Annual Chili Cook-Off was also a huge hit! We hope everyone had as much fun as we did.

Thank you all for choosing to be a part of our community, we truly have some of the most amazing residents around.

On behalf of the entire Highlands staff, we appreciate you!

Best Regards,
Scott Brown

This year’s Soup Cook-Off was a winner on all counts – for those who cooked and those who ate!

A warm congratulations also goes to out to our Soup Cook-Off contestants. The first-place prize went to David and Sandra Neil for their scrumptious New England Clam Chowder, second-place went to Maria Sinnard for her delectable Creamy Chicken Enchiladas soup, and our third-place winner was Brenda Ottoman for the most delicious Cream of Broccoli soup ever.

This event is so dear to our residents because the left-over soup goes to comfort folks that are homebound here at the Highlands. After the event, The Sunshine committee delivered soup to our fellow residents who are ill and could not attend.

Finally, many residents came out to hear and enjoy the music and comedic styles of Rich Wilson; he did not disappoint and was well received by everyone!

Our new section has incredible views of rolling hills and our fantastic golf course.

When you list with our team not only do we employ all the right kinds of media to sell your home, we also understand the Highlands lifestyle and are committed to getting you more for your home than outside sellers.

As a reminder, we are currently offering a referral reward of $2,000 to any resident who refers a friend or family member who buys a new home in our community. This is your chance to let your friends in on how wonderful it is to live here at the Highlands.

As a final quick update - we have three new custom homes being built for new residents at the Highlands. As they arrive, please help us give a friendly welcome to our new neighbors in the community.

Antique chair

We’ve all heard the saying “some things just get better with age,” and there’s nothing like an antique to truly bring that saying to life. Regardless of whether you’ve been trying to find something similar to a friend’s piece or want to branch out with something of your own, it’s never been easier to purchase antiques online and have them show up right to your door.

Extend beyond your everyday décor – every antique piece has a story behind it. When you add this type of treasure to your home, its story becomes yours and makes for great a conversation piece for when family and guests come to visit.

If you’re already an antique connoisseur, you’re probably well versed on the fact that quality antiques are hard to find. Searching for that perfect piece takes a great deal of time, effort, and digging through flea markets and consignment shops. However, online shopping has changed the game and the piece you’ve been longing for is just a few clicks away.

It’s really that easy! Kick back, relax, and find that special element that will bring your space that much closer to perfection.
